IOP provides a less structured approach to rehabilitation than day treatment, but is still an effective means to ensure a patient’s recovery. The goal of this treatment is the provision of care to clients while they are at home, working, going to school, or taking care of their family.
Baystate Recovery Center is a clinically integrated treatment center for patients suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. Among our services is Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP), which provides clients with the necessary care while they are still living at home. Though less structured than other types of treatment, IOP still comprises the same individual therapy and evidence-based support.
The Treatment Program
IOP is a daytime program from 9am to 12.30pm and involves both individual and group therapy. This happens up to five times a week, though the length of treatment is dependent on each individual case.
