What Are Addiction Recovery Services?

BY

No one wants to live a life dictated by addiction to drugs or alcohol, yet millions of Americans suffer from addiction every year. If untreated, addiction can consume every moment of an individual’s life as any other chronic condition can. It can find its way into every aspect of day-to-day living and center it around continued substance abuse.

The best course of action if you are battling addiction or are concerned for a loved one who is would be to seek help from our experts at Baystate Recovery Center. We provide addiction recovery services that can accommodate your needs regarding the severity of your situation and your existing responsibilities.

Our Recovery Services Put You First

There are many recovery centers that have the goal of seeing patients through their programs and then closing the book on them. At Baystate Recovery Center, we want to see you as an individual break free of addiction not only during treatment but for the rest of your life.

We work with medical specialists from multiple backgrounds to address any and every concern you may have before, during or even after treatment. We don’t consider a treatment to be successful until you’re back to your normal life with a support system and aftercare recovery services to fall back on when things get tough.

Recovery Takes a Full Team

One way we help achieve this is through our Family Support Service. Addiction isn’t fought alone as it impacts everyone around you. Proper education on how you and your family can better communicate and support each other during and after recovery services helps keep cravings and impulses under control.

Creating a stronger family is just one of the ways Baystate Recovery Center helps ensure success. The core of our recovery services lies with our treatment programs.

Intensive Outpatient Programs

The option to maintain living at home is appealing to those wanting as much independence as possible. Intensive outpatient programs offer exactly that and can be leveraged by those with a healthy home life to return to after individual or group sessions.

Treatment consists of 4-12 weeks of recovery services where individuals spend three or more days each week at our facility. Adding this extra layer of accountability and effort helps those recovering from addiction find a new option to turn to when an urge for drugs or alcohol comes up.

Day Treatment or Partial Hospitalization

The more structured version of intensive outpatient treatment is partial hospitalization, or PHP, and is also known as day treatment. The amount of time patients need to commit each day depends on the severity of addiction and how much progress is made. While any degree of addiction can be treated with PHP, the more severe cases will benefit the most.

Understanding Treatment Options

Baystate Recovery Center isn’t a sober living home where patients stay for months on end while they recover. Instead our outpatient programs combine proven 12-step systems with clinical modalities in order to let patients maintain their responsibilities. The goal isn’t just sobriety but a life free of addiction even after treatment is completed.

Those with heavy workloads or a list of responsibilities they must meet every day can take advantage of our intensive outpatient program. Both group and one-on-one sessions are held each week so even if someone can only spare an average of one hour per day, they can get the help they need to overcome their addiction.

It’s never too late or too early to stage an intervention for drug or alcohol abuse and you don’t have to do it on your own. We encourage you to reach out to our addiction recovery specialists with any questions you have or to get started with a confidential consultation.
